Darren Hom is the creator of DisasterInvestor.com, a Web magazine designed to promote contrarian planning and investing. Profits can be made in any economy by concentrating on niche investments leveraged against the problems of our day.

He has been involved in real estate since 2004. He moved to Oklahoma City in September 2006 in anticipation of the housing crisis we are seeing today. Oklahoma City has since become one of the best real estate markets in the United States.

Darren has degrees from U.C. Berkeley and Stanford University. He has experience in government research, statistical analysis, education, conference presentations, Web publishing and sales, server-side programming, real estate rentals, property rehabilitation, marketing, distressed homeowner-bank mediations, and short sales.

Darren is currently marketing for three real estate companies in Oklahoma City and one real estate company in California. He is working on short sales in both states.
